A bank alert did not appear

On Android, open More → Auto-tracking and confirm the switch and Android SMS permission. Manual and receipt entry still work when tracking is off.
Check More → Automation rules → Unmatched bank messages. A known sender with an unknown format may appear there, outside the ledger. Unknown senders are rejected.
OTP, security, promotional, declined, pending, balance-only, and malformed messages are rejected before transaction creation.
Android’s normal SMS APIs do not expose RCS/Chat messages to Salli. Testing must use SMS/MMS.
iOS does not permit arbitrary SMS-inbox access. Use manual or receipt entry.

Safe to Spend looks wrong

  1. Tap its information control and inspect the breakdown.
  2. Check payday and cycle dates.
  3. Check expected versus confirmed income.
  4. Review approved scheduled payments, goals, and seettu dues.
  5. Confirm transfers were recorded as transfers.
  6. Search Activity for an incorrect direction, date, value, or duplicate.

Account balance has a warning

A reconciliation warning means the reported balance change is not fully explained by transactions Salli has seen. Check missing cash movements, unsupported alerts, wrong wallet assignment, opening balance, and transfers. Salli is not a live bank connection.

A backup will not restore

  • Copy the complete JSON text without leading/trailing commentary.
  • Confirm it is a Salli personal backup, not CSV or a corpus package.
  • Do not manually change kind, version, IDs, or totals.
  • Use the correct typed RESTORE confirmation.
  • If validation fails, existing data is unchanged.

Notifications are late or absent

  • Enable the specific reminder and operating-system permission.
  • Check delivery time, lead time, Focus/Do Not Disturb, and app notification settings.
  • Power-saving modes can delay inexact notifications.
  • Use the private test notification.

Receipt scan is unavailable

  • Use a supported physical Android or iOS device.
  • Grant camera/photo access only after choosing scan.
  • Apple-silicon iOS simulators cannot link the current ML Kit OCR binary.
  • Add the transaction manually when OCR is unavailable.

The Android widget is blank or stale

  • Open Salli once so the encrypted store can hydrate and publish a snapshot.
  • Check launcher support and re-add the widget if necessary.
  • Values are intentionally masked until Show amounts on widget is enabled.
  • The widget does not read the encrypted database by itself.

Text is clipped in Sinhala or Tamil

Update to the latest build and report the exact screen, language, device, display size, and screenshot. Draft translations are still awaiting native review.
